Office Lactation Consultation

Initial consults last approximately 1.5 hours and include:

full maternal & baby assessment, pre/post feeding weights with a professional medical grade baby scale, pump review, assessment & feeding plan provided to you at the end of each consultation.

Common issues are: sore nipples, plugged ducts, engorgement, mastitis, latch & positioning challenges, low milk supply or oversupply, infant oral issues like tongue-ties, pumping & flange fitting, etc.

Follow up appointments last approximately 60 minutes.

Prenatal Lactation Consultation

A private prenatal consultation, prior to the baby's arrival, will help answer any questions you may have. We will review what to expect the first few days and have a plan in place to make the transition to motherhood & breastfeeding as stress free as possible.

I highly recommend this for everyone but especially mothers of twins or anyone with a history of breastfeeding difficulty with their previous children.

These appointments are typically 60 minutes.

Virtual Lactation Consultation

Virtual Consults are available so you can get all your breastfeeding questions answered from the comfort of your home. These appointments are typically 60 minutes.

Common topics are: returning to work, pumping & flange fitting, storing breastmilk, weaning breastfeeding and much more.

(These appointments are not recommended for latch or infant weight loss issues. A full in-person evaluation is recommended in these situations)

Insurance billing via "The Lactation Network"

I offer insurance billing via a company called "The Lactation Network".

Currently, in our area, they are able to bill to United health plan, Aetna and MassGeneralBrigham but it may depend on your specific plan. Use the link below to verify your insurance coverage prior to our appointment.

Itemized Receipt/Superbill provided!

IF your insurance is not in-network with "The Lactation Network", an itemized receipt/Superbill is provided for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Insurance companies reimburse for a certain number of visits depending on your plan. Call your insurance provider for more details. I accept cash, check or venmo on the day of our lactation consultation.
